Brittany Cowan
Brittany believes that equitable access to high-quality education provides the foundation for a strong community, and she desires to work for organizations dedicated to that cause.
Brittany earned her M.A. in International and Intercultural Communications from the University of Denver in June 2014. Her course work concentrated in international communication, non profit management, and Latin American studies. She also holds her B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Southern California.
She has 16 years experience, including 11 years focused in education and nonprofit marketing and communications.
Brittany enjoys spending time with her family — her husband (Patrick), son (Theo) and daughter (Riley). She loves traveling to new countries, camping, hiking, snowboarding, spin classes, taking her dog on long walks, and never trying the same restaurant twice. She is Alaska-grown and loves international travel and volunteering abroad. She is a big believer that each individual can make a positive impact on the world. Since 2015, she has been volunteering one hour per week with Reading Partners Colorado. Reading and spending time with her student is one the highlights of her week! She enjoys being a lifelong learner -- right now she is practicing nature photography.
